A 14 year old girl has allegedly been responsible for the death of a 78 year old cyclist when she was at the wheel of what was described in the newspaper article as “une voiturette”. She did not have an AM, whatever that may be, and there were four people in the vehicle. It does seem astonishing to me that a motor vehicle can be driven at that age.
A sans permis can be driven from 14. Personally it’s something I think is insane as although there are 14 year olds who would be sensible, there are many that wouldn’t take the responsibility seriously.
An AM is a type of driving licence specifically for moped type things and quads.

I was barely sensible enough for a moped at 16, the idea of 14 year olds operating vehicles is terrifying.
