I suspect if it was being built by a Tory crony rather than a Labour supporter, the Daily Seig Heil would have nothing to say.
Aren’t there already two rather large tower blocks next door? From the diagram this new one would be the other side of them and just a bit higher and wider. So yes there will be an impact but not nearly as dramatic as article says.

Nimby still alive and well.
With the price of real estate in London perhaps better to sell the Club and buy a place in the countryside where views would be far more appealing than the rooftops of London, and healthier too.
