Is anyone else having problems logging into the URSSAF website? I tried yesterday and it wanted an update to the password. No problem I thought, except I keep getting a red error message telling me my original password is incorrect, when I know that it’s not.
If I return to the homepage, I can see it’s actually logged me in, but when I try to access the part of the site I require, it asks again to update the password to something new, so I’m stuck in this loop.
I did manage to find an old URSSAF PDF I’d saved from last year, and there was a hyperlink in there which took me to the section of the website I required, so I was able to do what I needed to do, but currently it’s impossible for me to login via the homepage as I’m unable to update my password because of this glitch.
I just tried logging into my URSSAF account and was asked to change the password. Mindful of your experience, and as French government-related websites have a bit of a habit of going doolally at the weekend, I decided to delay setting the new password until midweek.
Thanks for the heads up
and bon chance with getting it sorted

I went back to the site after posting this, and the site was down for maintenance. I’m hoping it was a common problem and they’ve now fixed it. I’m probably going to wait a couple of days.
Clearing your browser cache and deleting cookies (or at least the ones for that website) is often given as a solution for log-in woes…
But it does sound as if a webbery cock-up is in progress.

Two weeks ago, I couldn’t log in after what I thought was already my new updated connection details, but last week, after the initial faff of obeying the warning, again, that I needed to update my login credentials, it finally let me in, at least with my TNS account. I couldn’t see, or switch to, my employer account though, so maybe something is still not quite right.

Thanks for the replies. I have waited several days, and tried some different browsers where I have no cookies or cache saved for the URSSAF site. I still get the same error, that my original password is incorrect.
If I return to the homepage, I’m logged in, however when I click on the link ‘Revenir a votre espace en ligne’ I get the error message "{“error”:“login_required”,“error_description”:“Authentification requise.”,“state”: … … }
I can still bypass it by following an old hyperlink into the main system, but I thought they might have fixed it by now. Not sure whether to wait longer, or try and contact URSSAF and ask if this is a general glitch.
I would probably try and contact them, just to be sure.

@Gareth2022 - I just tried to log in to my URSSAF account and again received the ‘you must choose a new password’ message. This time I was able to change the password and log in straight away with the new password - definitely not the same behaviour I saw on Sunday.
It might be worth having another go…
@_Brian Thanks, just tried, but getting the same error message after submitting the password change.

If I return to the homepage, I’m logged in, but if I follow their link to access my account, I then get the above. If I follow the link from within their emails though (for example if I’ve received a messsage), it will then take me to the correct part of the site without asking for an update.
Did you try @ChrisMann 's suggestion of clearing your browser’s cache and deleting the site cookies?
Assuming the site is working, (which it is for me) what you’re describing sounds like the classic symptoms…
You could also try a different browser. I’ve tried it today on Chrome, Brave and Firefox with no problems.
I had that error message too, which is less than helpful…
@_Brian I have tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox, but to no avail.
@RicePudding Sorry you’ve experienced it too, but am I right in thinking it’s working for you now? Hopefully if enough people are having problems they will fix it before too long.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to help, Gareth, but I’m out of ideas…
@_Brian That’s okay. I figure I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, as for now I can bypass the password change process… If that stops working, I’ll perhaps say I’ve forgotten my password, hope they email me a temporary one, and see if I can change it that way.
