URssaf, contributions, I am retired in France?

Hi I am new here and thank you for your welcome. I am retired in France (67), pay French taxes, and was a cross border worker in Switzerland. I am still paying URssaf contributions?. My tax accountant said why am I still paying for URssaf?. Have sent a letter to them, asking why, only for them to reply in a email to go on line, but being the weekend I cannot change my forgotten password, believe I have wait for a week day now. Does my contribution pay for my French health, Vitale card, etc, or is it just for unemployment benefits while working?. Thank you.

I’m retired in France, was self employed for 15 years here, prior to taking my small French pension as soon as I could, at 62.

I don’t pay contributions to anyone.

Surely he’s the kind of professional who would know…?

If you are retired you have paid your dues. You should maintain all your healthcare right and carte vitale etc. Which is your caisse? As if that has online access to your account then check what your attestation des droits saysas the code might have changed to general regime.
