Is anyone going to be able to stop DT winning again if he stands? Are the Democrats going to stop bickering amongst themselves and concentrate on real policies that will make a difference to ordinary people? Or do we just not care who’s the next President?
I’ve given up worrying about things that I have no possible control or influence over.

I do think there is one person in a very good place to stop Donald Trump in the next election and that person is Donald Trump.

Well every American I know, both in the US and in France, including some traditional Republican voters, are all dead set against Trump being re-elected as they all consider him to be an embarrassment to their country.
But isn’t that the same for Boris Johnson who recently got elected.
Very true. The thing about sore thumbs and sore pricks is that they’re an embarrassment, they’re attract attention, you can’t forget them, they seem precious to you, and you would cosset, soothe and protect them with your last breath.

I would be very surprised, pleasantly I have to say, if he is not re-elected. National populism has not run its course, and he has already got a perfect slogan “Keep America Great”.
On the other hand there is an amalgum of the climate change movement, the gun control movement, and the Democratic Party which is on the march, and which is fueled by the passion of the young people.
Just hope the Democrats can get their act together and move to the center and away from the socialism now being proffered.
The Americans I know who are republicans will vote Republican even if the Trump runs.
I’m waiting for Trump to signal his imperial assent for the mob’s new mantra:
