Hope you are not feeling too grim, and that it will be a smooth recovery. But what an escape! I fell about 20m down a scree slope in April, but happily bum first so apart from dent the size of a grapefruit which has ended my modelling career, a broken phone and squashed sandwiches I was just bruised. Like you I was v pleased my head landed beside a large stone not on top of it. Head first must have been very unpleasant and I don’t even like to think about it!

Don’t be too British tho’, you should be covered by their insurance so do ask, and make sure that the insurance company pays for the bits and pieces that don’t get covered by the Seçu. Sounds as if you might be getting to know a kiné quite well to rehab your spine.

Hard luck George, or maybe good luck that it wasn’t worse. That’s what everyone said to me when I fell in the shower this summer. Didn’t seem much of a consolation at the time  Bon reestablishment.

Sorry to hear of your accident, and to be so late discovering this post.

I hope that by now you are well on the way to full recovery and that your fellow volunteers are being very generous with chocolates.

anyone tried the emergency number for Vet contact ?? 3115

EDIT: I’ve put the link in the “Animal” section too… hope that’s alright.

Back to 112 - yes, I had to use it many years back with two visitors (ironically, he was a retired brain specialist, who calmly walked up to the house saying his wife was having a stroke…) The call was answered in Lyon I think, but whatever network is in place, the ambulance arrived in 12 minutes (distance of 8kms…) with two strapping young paramedics (that interested her more than what was happening). This all backed up with a doctor arriving two minutes later under flashing green lights. A quick exchange of medical jargon with husband and off they sped…

One of the few good reasons why I shall firmly stay here!
