Many many thousands of English speakers live and work in France and love every minute of it, though there are a number who for a whole multitude of reasons need some help and support. SOS Help is a free helpline for all English speakers in France.

Your call is confidential and anonymous, and the non-profit organisation is non-denominational, non-political, and non-interventionist. All the volunteer listeners are trained by professional therapists/psychologists to provide empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental listening to anyone going through a difficult or painful life experience.

The volunteers can listen to callers speaking about issues as wide-ranging as loneliness, depression, health concerns, bereavement, money problems, unemployment, difficulties with friends or family, or substance abuse.

No problem is too small, no pain is too slight. You do not have to cope alone. If you feel their service can be of help to you, call SOS Help on 01 46 21 46 46. The SOS Help line is open from 3pm to 11pm every day of the year. Their website is http://www.soshelpline.org/

The organisation relies on the work of our volunteers, both listeners and non-listeners, and on donations as well as proceeds from their fundraising events.

Excuse me - it should be this: http://www.tesol-france.org/teachingjobs.php

As I have just posted, Matthew Cameron in Bury-St-Edmunds is a very good english solicitor specialising in french property matters. He gave us the very good advice to change our marriage regime at the same time as we bought our house, so it is not subject to french inheritance laws.

How is SOLVIT coming along?

Here's the guy I used a few months ago he was fast and cheap, charging 35 euros for a birth cert as opposed to twice that as I was quoted elsewhere http://www.traducteur-assermente-translator.com/
