Hi Folks,
I’ve just received a Veolia water bill and I just want to make sure I am reading it properly. See the pdf’s below.
I spent a few days at the house back in Jan '24 and have now been here since mid-May (about a month) so I’ve used water (very sparingly I might add) for about 5 weeks this year. I am here on my own so one person using water.
I have just received a bill for €158.33, and I am unfamiliar with reading Veolia bills so am I right in thinking this is a bill for my estimated use going forward? Because I am very very sure I have not used 15 cu.m. of water in 5 weeks.
What’s puzzling me slightly is that the front of the bill, under ‘Votre consummation d’eau’, mentions ‘Abonnement Juil 24 a Dec 24’, but the rear of the bill, has a line referring to 'Regul. Abo. 1er semestre 2024 (part collectivite).
Also, while I think I understand the words, I’m a bit puzzled by the phrases ‘part collectivite’, ‘part distributeur’ and ‘part syndicale’ in terms of their relevance to me in the context of a water bill.
Finally, does the rate of consumption look about right or is it high? If it’s based on actual consumption then I wonder if I have a leak somewhere; if it’s an estimate of future you then I’m less worried.
Can someone who understands these things please explain the above to me please.
Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you.
