Just wondering if anybody else is struggling with the renewal of their VLTS. This is our fourth year now of one year renewals - expired on 19th October and as yet - nothing.. I have emailed the prefecture and they say basically just keep checking the website.. It was brought home sharpish last week as had to go to hospital (only food poisoning!) but my Identity card had to be shown many times.. and they all pointed out that it had nearly expired.. well now it has.. Not sure whether to just present myself at the Perigueux Prefecture and see what they say.. Any advice would be helpful.. Thanks.
I donât know Perigueux prĂ©fecture but most donât allow people through the door without an appointment. I suggest an LRAR letter to them asking for immediat3 action.

Have you not got a recipissĂ© (pour un(e) demande de renouvellement)? That might do the job, it does at the borders. So if you havenât got one, request one ???

yes, I do have one of those.. all printed out ready to shove under somebodyâs nose!!! 
Slighty wondering about âall printed outâ - it is printed by and issued by the prefecture, it should have your photo - with a prefecture stamp over a signature? A recipissĂ© extends the formal validity of the associated CDS until the expiry date of the recipissĂ©. So no problemo! (You need to present both, if you need to!)

I have recently needed help to renew my wifeâs CdeS at PĂ©rigueux - but I donât follow what your problem is. It reads as though you have successfully submitted your renewal application, and are awaiting advice from the PrĂ©fecture that your new card is ready for collection.
If that is the case, you have no problem. You will/should be in possession of their confirmation that they are processing your application. Legally, that is sufficient.
Thank you.. yes.. this is exactly the case.. This is our fourth year of doing this and its the first time we have not had a confirmation of acceptance before the expiry date of our old card.. I know the attestation of application (which I have printed out) should be sufficient but I really donât like to take chances of getting somebody on an âoff dayâ . We are travelling to UK very soon and am not happy about having everything in order.. but I suppose I shall have to.. Thanks again for your response.
