Visiting UK - do we need travel insurance?

I suppose I'm asking what's the worst that can happen, given that we have our CEAMs (EHICs)?

Absolutely not. This is only if you are intending to have pre-planned treatment in the UK which you cannot find in France. For which, at the moment, you need to have a form S2.

The French authorities have admitted to the EU that they have totally misunderstood the procedure for this event and are in protracted negotiations with the UK government on a form of protocol which must be applied by the French authorities. The EU Commission has agreed to monitor the implementation of this protocol, but as yet, there is nothing to monitor.

Travel insurance may be necessary if you are intending to book holiday accommodation, The Tunnel etc.

If you are prepared to face any such loss yourself, they you probably do not want to bother with travel insurance.

Also if you have a mutuelle check if it covers repatriation etc, most do.

Don't think so Steve!

Specifically for Europe
