I was interested to read that one’s phone will “shriek” even if already on silent/mute.
Anyone with a secret phone will be getting found out if they’re not careful.
The powers that be did it about a month ago in Baden Württemberg, it worked on foreign mobile telephones too.
There’s been a lot of concern about that too in the UK. I’m not sure how you balance the need to warn people of something with the need to protect some from, domestic violence, for example.
It never materialised here earlier this year after being informed about it in the press it was going to happen.
