IIRC the local Mairie has the responsibility for water (amongst other things) and either SAUR or SUEZ (whichever local entity) are contracted to fulfil the service.
It may be easier to start with the the Mairie - they may resolve your questions without hunting further…
Thanks Graham, I’ll try them first but could be interesting as they are the most unfriendly bunch I have come across since we arrived here!
