We moved to our region over 8 years ago

We turned our splendind Gerondine into a bright and stylish place to stay.

With the help of good selction of frivolity and furniture from Lots Road Galleries

and some hiddren treasures which we found here we have created what you might call

a chambre d hote with character. We also had an artichect and artisans.

We a are snuggled within the vines and a few acres of land dotted with fruit trees,

flowers and pagadas.Plus we have a pigionier which is very pleasing to the eye.

But as life has progressed we have realised that we can not work forever!

So in a year or so we will be ready to move to something smaller....probably in

the same region. The property is ready to be viewed by a serious purchaser.

Most of the summer is booked with clients....with moments in May and June

without visitors. We also have a week unsold at the begining of Aug!

If you want to have a look go to Olivers Travels Clos de Chinon...there are several

pics on there.

We have just said goodbye to a family of six who stayed for a week.

We included breakfast every morning and a lunch on a day of their choice.

Lunch began with Bordeaux bubbly and canapes including weeny glasses with

avacodo and shrimp mayonnaise and was followed by duck breast glazed with

honey, mashed pototoe encased in a chinese leaf and a crsipy envelope of

black pudding.Served with vegetables and wine ...colour of the client's choice.

Dessert was a brulied Lemion tart with spun sugar and a trifle.

Cooking for clients brings great pleasure.

On the last night of their stay the clients arrived with a chocolate gateaux and we

were invited to share a birthday celebration with them.

During their stay there was a great deal of conversation and we all knew so much

about each other ....just amazing and a very special introduction. Our guest Lydia was singer in a three part harmony group specialising in re living the fourties through

song and atire.

There will be a full parade of people this spring and summer to include a group from

Texas who will arrive in a few weeks. I am always looking for new venues and exciting activities to tell my clients about and at the moment I have an excellent Bergerac wine tour with a picnic, a possible pop up restaurant, a patisserie course

in anear by town, a kid's painting afternoon at my friend's Attelier and now Jardin's

Ouvert ......beautiful exploration and afternoon tea....sorry English style.

If I were 20 years younger I would plan so much more.

My fav chef in London would come over to do a "cook in" but it is very involved.

I am very tempted as I feel that he should see the region. He has grown to love London but will eventually return home to Mumbai.

I am in the middle of the county side but everything is here for the realisation.

If someone buys my place I would be happy to show them the way.

see you are Marketing your beautiful property. Stunning place. I'm sure it will go really quickly. Regards Christine
