I have two issues - it is time to change the vac cleaner anyway, and have a job that I suddenly wondered if a wet vac would help and therefore maybe buy a domestic size Karcher.
I have been putting off a job for a while - changing the glass medium in the swimming pool filter. I hate this job as there is only a small opening in the filter through which one has to scoop out the old glass in a large cup. This is time consuming and rough on the hands. Then I thought how about shoving a vacuum cleaner hose in there and it does all the work. Seeing that these Karcher wet and dust machines are not the expense I thought they might be, wondered if they actually do what they say on the tin…
So, question: do these cleaners really suck up liquid, not just a coffee spill, but a good dollop of water? Any catches??
Thats how I do my filters and have done many times. Sand is hard going as it clumps so you have to constantly jiggle the convoluted hose up and down to keep it mobile. Try not to suck too much at once, mentally think of only a half filled pipeful at a time.
It is not sand but glass that I need to remove. I still have to put in the afm stuff I bought several months back! I have Mr Amazon delivering me one on Tuesday, he says…
