They will be able to vote, if they choose to.

Never understood that as it’s not like Her Majesty’s Government don’t know exactly who and where all her law abiding subjects are at any given moment.
I read some British press every day and reluctantly still passively listen to some R4 news (though only because OH likes to get indignant about it).
However, until reading your link, I hadn’t come across any mention of Voter Identification Cards despite the link (now a year old) claiming ‘It is vital that such an important policy is implemented properly and with sufficient time for voters and the electoral sector to understand the new requirements.’
I previously thought that I was better informed than many UK residents, so what’s going on there?
