Despite what the article says, I certainly don’t have an inate curiosity to ring unknown numbers back to see who they were. If it was important they would leave a message. I guess there must be enough curious people to make it worth their while but it seems a very alien idea to me.
Same here; have experienced these 1 ring calls but - luckily or because we’re Luddites (or not important enough) - we don’t have an answerphone !! But have had several of these 1 ‘ring’ calls today (only aware of them because I’m desk-sitting doing ‘catch-up’ on finances etc. Have also had the ‘goodbye’ calls referred to in another post - and was grateful for that info because such calls did puzzle me.
Think it’s an excellent idea for those who become aware of such scams to do a ‘heads up’ for all of us - very grateful.
