What’s in your food

PFAs are absolutely everywhere in the environment, and throughout the food chain. I have friends who live in Thornton Cleveleys, where the highest recorded levels of PFAs have recently been recorded near the outflow of a chemical plant. It’s seemingly historical as there have been no PFAs measured in the effluent from the plant since these measurements were started some tome ago. They’ve probably been accumulating for many decades and goes to show just how pervasive and persistant these chemicals are.

Those that did measure PFA’s were seen as subversives

Thanks for the warning. I’m now not going to eat the wrapper.

Sugar may be not great for you but chemical sweeteners may be much worse :slightly_frowning_face:

Allulose sweetner is banned in the EU as its deemed carcinogenic meanwhile the Americans use it and their FDA say its fine. Glad to be in Europe, or just outside.
