From The Independent The Independent calculates 5 million UK holidaymakers are currently booked to travel abroad to “amber list” destinations for the summer.
The calculation is based on information published last week by Tui, Europe’s biggest package holiday company, Tui, that it has 2.6 million forward bookings for summer 2021.
Well my wife and I will be travelling to France for a reccy unless this ‘government’ stops us. Life is on hold until we know where we want to settle - France or another house here in the UK. To us it’s far more than a holiday as we are in limbo.

Sorry Paul, but what is so onerous about that? Most of us here probably, and us certainly, have had to give our fingerprints just to stay put in the place where we have lived for 21 years.

The US Immigration fingerprinting machines don’t seem to get cleaned between passengers incoming. That always felt really icky.
Has the US started cleaning them or provided wipes between passengers for them since Covid, I wonder.
But at least you can read their articles…on most other media its behind a paywall…its the cost of free reading!
