I'm trying to help a French company raise capital for their venture.
When I asked for a finder's fee agreement I was given the following response
Concerning your fees, we have a program in place ("apporteur d'affaire" in
French) for people who contribute to revenue generation. You will obviously benefit from that program.
My French is very poor so even after Googling it I was still at a loss.

You’re not too harsh at all. I know the standard fee structure for raising capital. However, when I mentioned a finder’s fee agreement and was met with his answer I couldn’t respond due to my lack of French. Is this a law, certain type of contract and could it apply to this situation?

And to clarify apporteur d’affaires is basically someone who lands the contract on behalf of a company.
Hi Jorgen, I’m not quite sure I’ve understood your question correctly.
If you are going to find capital for a scheme I would suggest that you write your remuneration terms into the contract rather than relying on a rather open statement such as :
Concerning your fees, we have a program in place (“apporteur d’affaire” in
French) for people who contribute to revenue generation. You will obviously benefit from that program.
It doesn’t give you any guaranties on how, when and how much you will be paid.
Hope I don’t sound harsh in that, but I am aiming to give you some practical advice.
