When will the new circular take effect?

I have read about the new circular that the minister is tightening the application of naturlisarion, for example to provide five years of professional activity instead of three years?
know the requirement of lanuage test B2 has taken effect. I have also read that “There is a limit to how much can genuinely change in regards to immigration rules without a new law voted by parliament,” so its seems it’s not final but just a suggestion from minister?

The proposals are wide ranging and some are much more controversial, like removal of AME, which can mean that when/if this comes before parliament the easy ones may well be voted through . They have said beginning 2025 - but we are already here so may not be quick.

However remember there is very little actually written down about specific criteria so immigration agents have quite a lot of leeway in interpretation already.

I think he was quite specified? For example he mentioned 5 years of professional activities and to impose an official exam for the applicants. Do you mean they have to vote in order to change the law? I’m a bit worried cause I going to use my 2 years student + 3 years work to apply for naturalisation.

I meant that I understand that the current guidelines for immigration agents are not incredibly detailed. (not that anyone has seen them), so there is room for interpretation by them in considering the whole dossier.

For example there is nowhere is absolutely specifies that income of SMIC is acceptable but it is generally assumed to be the threshold. The actual text is avoir des revenus stables et suffisants pour subvenir à vos besoins et à ceux de votre foyer fiscal which is imprecise.

These propsed changes will go through the standard process of amending the law - which can be short or long depending on the political will behind it.

So they need to vote about it or it is confirmed? Don’t know how things work.
