Which profession should I select and what is the difference between Artisan and Commerciale

Hi everyone,


I've been struggling to decide on the best profession to select on the AE website.


I'll be doing general admin work for a UK company: website maintenance, email blasts, secretarial work, chasing invoices etc etc.


If I go under 'Services Administratif Divers', it puts me under Artisan, whereas if I go for 'Conseil aux entreprises', it is Commerciale....not sure which is best and if there are any major differences between the two categories?


Also, i've heard through the grapevine that if you set up as an Artisan now, you have to go to the Ch de Metiers in person and also have to undertake a week-long course - does anyone know if this is true or has anyone taken the course?

Hi Claire I do exactly the same as you workwise and they automatically put me under artisan. That seemed strange to me, but when I explained to the lady at RSI over the phone what I did that is what she chose for me. I didn't have to do a course, but I think I heard (via someone's link on here) that in 2015 you may have to?
