We were visiting friends in Norfolk a week after this Concert was broadcast … and folk were talking about little else… it appealed to so many who had never before considered Opera/Classical as being worthy of their attention…

One of my uncles took me to see the philarmonic orchestra a few times which I loved… my introduction to orchestra and opera was via mozart and he’s still my favourite composer…
First albums I ever bought with my own money were Bob Marley and UB40…x 
My favourite opera singer since then would probably be Andrea Bocelli…x
