Science is sceptical.
Exactly, the pilots are equipped with transponders.
or standard mobile phones with GPS. ![]()
This graphic is missing the most important element. It should begin with “Create a problem that doesn’t exist”.
There are no keypads on their transponders which is how they know Hegseth was lying in his press conference
Lying or just a dumb piece of shit, it’s really hard to tell. Though all of the above is also an acceptable answer.
There was talk of this technology being used to locate submarines which I find much more credible.
Of course, a great many scientists also said the atomic bomb wasn’t possible right up to the point that the USAAF dropped 2 of them.
Of course the ceasefire is being trashed by the US and their support for the Israeli bombing in Lebanon. But they will sell it as Iran being difficult. Trump is referring to what’s happening in Lebanon as a skirmish.
Disgusting.
Trying to stop myself screaming at the news broadcasts playing my old 60s protest songs as loud as possible. Just finished the Joan Baez version of “There but for Fortune” and now playing Bob Dylan “Masters of War”
That reminds me of the time in 1997 when terrorists killed 62 tourists at Luxor, the Egyptian government referred to it as ’ an accident '.
Just the Israeli Jewish votes? Are there that many of these people? Anyway the Jewish people, not the Zionists, are against the war in Gaza.
No, not Israeli Jewish votes, but Jewish American votes. There are a great many Americans who are either Jewish, or who have considerably sympathy with the members of the Jewish faith. Do not forget that American elections run on money, lots and lots of it, and so the support of people with lots of money is essential to winning an American election at any level.
Money does not always buy elections. Look at Mamdani in New York. He is living proof of that.
Really ? Mr Mamdani’s election campaign raised over $4 million according to the New York City Campaign Finance Board.
Exactly. He did not use AIPAC or coporate money that is what I meant.
Wherever it came from, $4 million is still an awful lot of money spent by 1 candidate to win 1 election, in 1 city, in 1 State.
When it comes to the Mid-Terms in November, half the Senate seats, and all of the House of Representative seats are up for grabs. That equates to oodles of cash. The real winners will be the advertising companies.
One would hope these will all change to Democrat, but if the lat election is anything to by, with the majority of American voters as dumb as UK brexit voters, expect an increase for Republican ![]()
You are missing my point that Mamdani won because of the people donating money to his campaign. Whereas all the other candidates rely on APAC or coporate donations. This should be banned because the Congress men and women serve their donners not the people. If you catch my drift?
Absolutely. I agree entirely that limits should be placed upon donations from other than individual members of the public. The massive amounts of money put into elections by corporations and political action committees leads to a system that is inherently corrupt.
However, despite what we would like to happen, the system is played by the rules currently in existence. Hence large amounts of money are needed.
The Republicans are trying to limit Mid-Term damage and so are likely to follow policies that engender support from wealthy donors, be they individual or corporations.
Starting a war is good for business in the defense industries, and starting a war against Iran is good for votes from the Jewish American community (all 7.5 million of them). Just goes to show how desperate the Republicans are to garner as many votes as possible. Truth and morals went out of the window a long time ago. It’s all about money, whether it be raising it from donors, or lining their own pockets.
We are talking about two different points.
