Only the Americans, due to their being the Israelis’ main arms supplier, and even that’s limited - assuming the US President were interested in restraining Israel, which the current one isn’t of course.

Right. Vance is elected and can’t be sacked by POTUS . He could be ditched in the next election (there won’t be another one for Trump) when POTUS selects a running mate.

Perhaps he has finally woken up to the realities of the Straights of Hormuz remaining closed. It is not crude oil that is the problem, but helium which is essential to etching computer chips and all MRI imaging, sulphur which is essential to fertiliser manufacture, LNG which keeps South East Asia functioning, diesel and jet fuel that keeps the world moving.
These are the reasons why he ‘blinked’. Purely economic reasons. With Trump it is all about the money.
I worry that he and the Israelis will break the ceasefire by doing something appalling, as we have seen their word is worthless and they cannot be trusted.

If the USA really located their wounded F-15 pilot who was hiding in a crevice on a mountain using long range quantum magnetometry to detect his heartbeat from an aircraft, it really makes you wonder what else the boffins at DARPA and Lockheed’s Skunkworks have come up with.
Or not, my Apple Watch survives being dropped but thought I had had a fall to day when I closed the gate rather sharply with my left hand. Just stopped it from calling the Pompiers again.

Demcocrat Gavin Newsom is leading the betting odds at the moment, he’s the Governor of California and a bit of a “poster boy” for his party, Trump hates him which is always a good sign.

The straits remain closed because the Israel did indeed break the terms of Irans agreement by bombing Gaza again.
Surely more likely they were wearing a location device? I used to take one when scuba diving just in case.
I’m still not convinced he won’t stand a 3rd time. He’ll get someone to interpret the constitution to allow this. Or, have another war with someone and say you can’t have elections while at war.

He only needs to call a ‘national emergency’ to cancel the elections and I wouldn’t put it past him.
Not a chance, his madness has made him unelectable even if he was able to stand again.
