At this time of the year we often come across people rooting around in the grass verges. They always seem to be from adjacent departments, especially 12, and 15.
Not wanting to burst your happy bubble, but your photo shows escaped commercial asparagus not the much smaller, paler and thinner wild stuff. There will have been an asparagus field somewhere nearby reasonably recently.
