Would you choose to end your days in France?

All’s well that ends well.

Interesting.

You admit to having a lack of empathy or understanding about the lives & situations of your fellow human beings.

I am woke because I do/try to have those qualities.

Well I cannot disagree that is a well thought out answer, and if you wish to take this as praise you are welcome

You are misquoting an official source using far right vocabulary. Nasty. Strange coming from a self confessed immigrant.

In your case actions shout louder than words. The very fact that you can’t see why people are not supporting your point of view makes it even clearer. As for you being woke who on Earth would expect someone with your views to deserve that title? It’s yet another word that you have added to your vocabulary since admitting to your political stance, it’s a shame you’re not using it correctly.

On reading the majority of your post my perception is that you are a intelligent /educated man, making assumptions and calling it perception  is not the same.

In your biased view, and your point, deserve the title of woke , you think it is a badge of honour?.
I am of the opinion that this thread is starting to spiral out of control and that some of the personal opinions expressed is in danger of spoiling this forum I would suggest we close this conversation down.

You are misquoting them.

Basically yes, the people who you would believe to be woke are the people whose views I would probably agree with. That is if when you use the word you actually understand it’s definition.

Precisely, which is why I asked you to start a new thread 2 days ago if you wished to keep going on this point.

Just to agree with @JaneJones - I have had to skip over the what - last 30! posts because they have nothing to do with the discussion and this makes me so angry because this was proving to be a useful thread for those of us who are reaching the stage in their lives where some VERY tough decisions have to be made. The discussion has been polluted and I suspect anyone in the future coming new to this will give up in disgust.
I have just come from having coffee with two friends one younger, one older and both admit neither of them are looking at these issues and both agreeing that they need to - in both cases I fear their situations are precarious. Neither of them would read this thread now the way the conversation has gone. I’m bitterly disappointed. I would LOVE to have all these last posts deleted.

While I’m not going to apologise for calling out Farage-esque comments and, frankly, hypocrisy, I’m happy to prune the thread.

It would be an act of communal kindness to do so. So I have pruned too.

Indeed, just don’t get it.

There is a lot of useful info in this thread which is being lost in a sea of tripe.

And pruned. Though it took longer than writing the posts :joy:

I disagree with censorship, in all its forms, and any attempt by individuals to self censor only concentrates attention further from the reasons for the thread as other posts relate to such deleted items.
