I noticed in the Under 26's group that Charlie was asking about car insurance for an 18 year old. I can't answer this in the group (coz I'm 48!!!) but I can give some advice on the general forum as I have 2 young drivers within my household.
The bad news Charlie is that, until you are 25, youll not find much in the way of cheap insurance in France but there are companies that will offer you long term deals etc.
Start by using Assurland on the internet to compare prices and then look around at what the banks etc. are offering.
You have to look at the long game rather than short term.
