Currently watching Ozzy the documentory made before he died this year. He really was very poorly and depressed until friends in the music business stepped in and got him interested again.

So glad I subscribed to NordVPN which enabled me to watch Riot of Women, October 2025 TV series, six episodes, on BBC iPlayer.

The 1st episode had me hooked (as much as I got hooked on Detectorists!) and couldn’t stop watching until the end of episode 6, nearly 6 hours later!

An audio track should be elsewhere but the series is about 5 women, of a certain age, starting a rock band.

Sounds a bit like Rock follies for those that remember it.

Two episodes into the Hack on ITV X, the story behind phone hacking by Murdocs lot. Will continue tomorrow but it’s good.

All 7 episodes watched and a great series obviously based on real life. It may not be good if you are a conspiracy theorist.

I couldn’t resist so have been binging on Father Ted. Still as good as the first time around years ago now.

2 episodes in to The Girlfriend and enjoying it so far…

The Accused, originally BBC, now on Netflix. The second one has some wonderful acting by Olivia Colman and Anne-Marie Duff. The first wasn’t bad either with Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.

Well I watched A House of Dynamite on Netflix. Bored out of my mind to be honest it was so unbelievable and certainly did not live upto the worst horror you can imagine hype. God help us all if its left to these characters that were portrayed, to save mankind from anihilation.

I watched "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas " (Netflix) and wished I hadn’t. Not What you would call a feelgood film.

It appears the actor who played Baptiste has died. R.I.P Tchéky Karyo

It’s possible that ‘Death Becomes Her’ could be watched as a horror movie (it’s a comedy) as Halloween passes by. Meryl Streep & Goldie Hawn fighting viciously for the attention of Bruce Willis, a renowned plastic surgeon, to keep them both looking young, forever.

A film adored by the gay community apparently, and is regarded as a cult classic. I haven’t seen it full length until today, just released on YouTube. Great fun IMO. Uses 1992 early computer generated special effects. Full over-the-top acting from all three of them.

Gosh I have that on DVD from donkey’s years back. It is a good and amusing film and not really scary compared to what kids see every day now. Bruce Willis had hair too!

Started watching the new series last night. Still really enjoying it, but something about each of the characters felt a little forced.

For example, Lamb was always vulgar but it was moreso his actions and his physical appearance that sickened you than his potty mouth. This time round, it feels like every sentence is him swearing and it’s possibly a touch OTT (and I’m someone who not-infrequently uses colourful language myself!).

Same with Roddy… The juxtaposition between his actions and how he wants to be seen has been exaggerated perhaps a little bit too much.

But I’m still thoroughly enjoying it and can’t think of much else that even comes close to it.

Not sure if it’s been recommended here before but we’ve been watching ‘The Night Agent’ and are in to the second series now. It’s got a good IMDb rating and goes along at a fairly fast pace.

Yes, I read that he had died recently and remember watching both series in which he played the part of Baptiste. (‘The Missing’ then ‘Baptiste’. ) The two of them were excellent series and had some good actors. Worth watching again if you can get them but watch The Missing first.

I thoroughly enjoyed both series of The Night Agent.

The problem I had was that I found it all too believable. Well, apart from some of the procedural bits.

This bit was especially believable :scream:

I did find the ending a bit anti-climactic, I don’t like to be left hanging.

I guess you’re no fan of The Italian Job then?

We’ve been watching quite a quirky series on Flemish TV, “This is not a Murder Mystery”, with Stephen Tompkinson as the lead detective.

The premise is that a number of famous artists (Magritte, Dali, Nash, Ray and so on) are at a country house and people keep getting bumped off.

It’s Belgian made, and mostly in English, and very enjoyable.

What about Chantal? Have you seen that one too?

Ok, I take back what I said… Watched 2 more episodes last night and it’s just as good as previous series.

This is the show your telly was made for.
