Have been disappointed with the new series of Reacher - that definitely peaked with the first series and went downhill from there.
Have also been watching “Sentinels” on iPlayer, sadly I can’t say I’m overly impressed with that either.
Sorry, have to disagree as thoroughly enjoying series 4 of Reacher. Can’t wait for Wednesday’s episode to arrive.
It’s entertaining enough for an hour on a Wednesday evening.
But much too little plot and much too much implausible violence. Not to mention terrible CGI last episode.
Vigil. What a load of implausible nonsense. Even worse than the earlier series.
I didn’t know there was a previous series so watched it with mixed feelings last night. I agree it does seem unlikely but may watch the 2nd episode if it fits in with other things. I applauded Suranne Jones’ breakout from soap opera some years back and thought she was good as the lesbian Gentleman Jack, but have not been impressed since.
Nope, the last episode did not help, mystified as ever. Clearly setting up for the second series - which has not yet been given the go ahead (as far as I can tell).
I couldn’t watch the first series and have no interest in trying again. Having been around the Vanguard class for many years (including a day under the surface of the Clyde), it was just constant nope, nope, nope.
Well I have just watched Vigil and it is very confusing, I couldn’t work out who was where, Svalbard or Glasgow and how they got between both with all aircraft grounded. And what jurisdiction would a UK detective have on a Norwegian island?
Weekends are pretty crappy so I will decide next Monday whether to give it another go or watch something else.
Vigil has to be the worst of all time! Pity, as the basic plot in the right hands, and actors, could be made quite captivating.
Triggerpoint with Vicky McClure is much better…
Watched L’histoire de Soulymain last night on Arte. Not exciting, but shows very graphically what genuine immigrants are up against… worth watching just to balance out, or support, your views on immigration..
