Series 4 of Reacher on Amazon is out, already binge-watched two episodes. Does not disappoint either.
It’s simultaneously awful and unmissable. I’ve watched the first 3.
That is broadly my take as well. They peaked with the first series and it has not been as good since. Series two was dire, three better but only a little. I think this one will be better than the 2nd probably on par with the 3rd. I’m looking forward to the Neagley spin off.
Anybody seen “Normal”?I thought Bob Odenkirk was terrific in Breaking Bad but I didn’t enjoy “Normal” very much.
Not yet, but thorough enjoyed immensely both “Nobody” films and he is such an underrated actor that many folks have never heard of him.
OH’s mum told him about a Channel 5 series, Jewels of the Mediterranean, narrated by Joanna Lumley. I think she watched it because we love Corsica. There are 15 episodes and OH has managed to find the Corsica one episode 10. It’s interesting.
At 9 tonight on the True Crime +1 channel there’s a program about a murder that took place in a house we owned soon afterwards.
Spoiler Alert…it wasn’t me ![]()
I so wanted to watch the DeGaulle films, my french is unfortunately not up to it. Waiting for the DVD release with foreign subtitles. OH is very deaf and would also rely on subtitles to follow the movie.
Finally able to access Iplayer - we have discovered LUDWIG
Nerd, trying to uncover the disappearance of his twin brother. Good fun and not too gruesome.
currently watching Series 1, but 2 is already available.
The first 3 episodes of Ludwig series 2 are out - the remaining 3 ‘drop’ on September 10th 2026.
We’re fans ![]()
Can’t bring myself to watch it, I am a very big fan of David Mitchell, as a lightning-witted comedian, but when I have seen him in scripted stuff it just doesn’t work for me. Also I read one of his books. Boring. Perhaps he has set the bar too high.
He is not alone, Paul Merton and someone else who’s name escapes me, fall into the same category.
I watched the first series but don’t feel very inclined to watch the second.
Slow Horses back in September.

I think that is one programme I could watch every day of every week of every year. It’s an absolutely stonkingly fabulous series and I hope it goes on for ever and ever amen ![]()
I adore Gary Oldman. Watched Darkest Hour recently (again) on TV. He is a superb actor.
