Ah that was me. I have to say Barbara that as we are of different generations and I am permanently surrounded by much younger people my sense of humour is perhaps less shall we say mature than yours (though I must say I have found it hard actually to discern yours at all) and yes your round bed lovely comfortable and roomy as it is (ooh Mrs) does look a bit Austin Powers style 70s pornfilm to me because it is so very much in keeping with how I imagine the 1970s, a decade I canāt really remember. And I have never actually watched a porn film either. Rather like those hilarious 1970s knitting pattern photos, see below.
So I am sorry if saying it looks a bit porny to me is offensive Barbara but if it really didnāt look at all porny even to you I donāt think youād be as miffed, you would just laugh it off because it is so ridiculous.

Iām like Vero, I associate round beds with pictures I saw of Hugh Hefner mansion beds in the 70ās and 80ās, It doesnāt mean thatās what I think of the bed in your picture.
If we had to think of the conations of offending someone, somewhere when ever we speak we would never open our mouths or type in this case.

Somewhat difficult to avoid in drama these days.

it is difficult for some people to just look at the walls of a property and see their own vision of what it could become
Pinterest is your best friend for interior design. I love it.
I do find that a lot of British houses (gites or wot not) in France tend to look the same. They tend to be over renovated to the point you canāt live in them. If you l know what I mean.
If you go on green acres or such sites you can spot the British house.
Not saying it is wrongā¦ā¦just lack of imagination.
A house needs to be functional.

A house needs to be whatever you want it to be. If you are selling it then it needs to be what buyers are looking for, likewise if you are renting it.
When we rented ours as a gite we didnt have too much in the way of niknaks and guests were generally grateful as Mums would run into other gites and quickly remove damagables before the children went in.
A good reason for disallowing small children on property viewings.
