Your opinion; all houses for sale listed online?

Hi dear reader,

Curious how you look upon the following. Which part of houses which are for sale are listed/ published online? F.e. in Spain some properties for sale do not reach the online sales market but are sold ‘via via’/ by mouth, so.only offline so to say. Thank you very much for sharing your insight about this, very helpful as always. Have a nice evening.

For me, I don’t mind either way. It should not be regulated.

Whatever source I find the property listed on the first thing I do is ask Google maps ‘what’s nearby’ - the nearest Lidl.

I’m not sure what your question is. It’s up to the seller whether the sell by word of mouth, through an agent, by auction or online. I’m sure there are statistics for all those routes to market, by country, if you search for them.

In Bretagne many folks tend to view what the local Notaires have for sale as its cheaper and they trust them more than other sources plus everything is done under the same roof.

Interesting to hear Shiba, will have a closer look at this. Have a nice day

I wonder if it’s regional in France? Certainly in the Narbonne area I haven’t come across notaires selling properties.

I’d regard that as an agent sale, if’s just a different type of third party.

Possibly, nearly every Notaire in Bretagne sells property and there is a site immonot.fr for Notaire sales

I think its down to trust as its a government fonc and folks usually know their local office well and who works there, certainly out in the sticks they do.

Good point. Real estate here is cowboy territory. Though I think notaires, none that I’ve ever deal with thank goodness, can be a bit hooky too
