ZFE / Crit’Air vote

Well… an article appearing 7th May on The Connexion did state there are 2 Public Holidays in France in May. Fairly basic factual error.

Interesting that the people who run France have listened, as the ZFE are now being called Zone de Forte Exclusion (Zone of High Exclusion)… (supposed to be Zone de Faibles Emissions=Low Emission Zone) As too many ordinary people are being excluded from working in town centre such as tradesmen bringing tools to jobs etc. But simply not in a position to upgrade.their vehicles.

Unlike the UK, France has at least paused to consider these additional social and potential economic impacts and possibly make a new decision on ZFE’s.

I say possibly because as auto-moto.com pointed out today, Paris and Lyon are still.proceeding with their ZFE’s currently as before, and 75% of the vehicles affected by these exclusion zones are vehicles accessing Lyon or Paris.

So not as much of a pause to relieve the affected population, as one might think.

After posting on the other thread about how the OH had ‘mis aligned’ the crit’air on my new car, another one arrived in the post completely out of the blue … keeping it in case they don’t bin the scheme. :grinning:

Relax. Leave it. There is an exemption for medical appointmets.

Hope that turns out all OK :+1:
