I read an article in Connexxion yesterday, saying there’d been a parliamentary committee vote against the ZFE scheme and that the whole thing was in limbo now.
Just trying to decide whether to fix my Crit’Air sticker to the new car’s windscreen!

Did they also mention Elvis has been seen on the moon?
Do make sure you have fixed it correctly AND in the right place…
Someone should start a thread on that
Snide?
Eh???
It’s from The Disconnexxion and they still believe that The News Of The World’s “London bus found on the Moon” story is peak journalism.
No, it’s a reference to one of our longer running threads which you may have missed…
The Connexion article is correct as reported in our local paper. Usual disbelief at the Connexion by those who know it all to follow.
Seems pretty good to me.
Well mine is in place, paid for it so might just as well use it! Nothing for definate has been decided by the government and where its in place, it will continue. We have been told in our local press that Jan 1st is the date for implementation here if the scheme is not scrapped.
Bored expats with too much time on their hands? Got it! Have a good day, Moray!
As you’v got the sticker, you might just as well put it in the correct position on the screen inside the car… (see instructions which come with the sticker… and/or the thread which discusses this placement)
Connexion is quite correct in reporting the uncertainty of the situation for drivers… “to Crit’Air or not to Crit’Air”
On the forum, we’ve been talking about this since the national press reported on 27th March (after the 26th March vote by the Commission). This was then debated in April and we still await the final decision from the Govt.
At risk of derision, what is ZFE please?
Zone of feeble emissions…
ie “polluting vehicles not allowed”
I think I’ll leave it in my glovebox until our next trip over and take stock then! I thought it was all a done deal!
Really?? I don’t believe it, Absolutely bloody priceless.
What do they want of us then, really heavily poisonous ones?
Fair enough… I’m sure we’ll be shouting it from the rooftops when/if a final instruction comes along…
We’ll possibly have a new thread, discussing the 47 million different ways to correctly remove one’s Crit’Air sticker…
I actually put my final CritAir vignette in the correct place on the windscreen of one of my cars yesterday. It had been in the glovebox for years. If I hadn’t been using that car for a weekend trip before I go to Nantes for a medical appointment on Monday it would have stayed safely tucked up in the glovebox. It was much easier to fit than the brand new straight from the post box sticker I put on my other car a couple of weeks ago.
Triumph of political expediency over climatic necessity, apparently too many French cars are above Cat 2.
but inactual fact it’s a cop/COP out as most Frnech cities are offering exemptions to the regs. for older vehicles.
If people just bothered to stay accurately informed, so many problems would no longer exist…
