I saw them a few times. Easily the worst live band I’ve ever seen (edited to add: and that includes the Gary Glitter band). On one occasion, however, the Moody Blues were backed by Hotlegs (all the members and ideas of 10cc but with a daft name) who outclassed them in every way.
re Bruce, I bought and loved his first 2 albums (Greetings from Astbury Park & The Wild, the Innocent etc) and was bitterly disappointed with most of what followed until The Rising…common denominator, THe East St Band.
I loved The Rolling Stones to the point of getting up on the stage to touch Mick’s leg! This was in 1967…how the years roll on. In Belfast. The concert lasted 20 mins. We were all taken off stage hurled into a Saint John’s Ambulance van to spend the night. O what delicious memories.
