One of Freddie Mercuryās stage tricks was to sing Eee-Oooo and get the audience to sing it back at him. I assume that Dr. Mark made the Harry Belafonte comment for comedic effect.
Although, being pernickety, as the Stan Freberg recording I posted illustrates so beautifully and amusingly, Harry actually sang Day-O.

Heād have to go some to clock 24.6mph though - Usain Boltās 9.58 second 100m record is only 21.4mph
