The receptionist checked on her computer and then took a deep breath before telling this poor woman that there were 18 other people waiting for beds and she was not expecting a bed to be available till Monday morning. No idea how this ended but they were facing 2 more nights in chairs! Quite extraordinary!!

I really don’t know where someone can go from there, but to be sick enough to go to an emergency dept and then to have to wait 3 days before admission is astonishing.
