Independence Day tomorrow, so this seemed apt…
As an antidote to the stuff above, I thought I’d add this in anticipation of 4th of July - it’s not very funny, but it’s apposite and it made me think that probably everyone on SF has had their own Independence Day, which is why we’re here.
Today I decided to pull a nose hair out to see if it was painful.
From the reaction of the guy asleep next to me on the train, it must have hurt quite a lot.
Why on earth would you do that on the train?

I don’t think some of this is mid-week humour but something political. Is this what this thread is about? Just not sure, maybe I should go into something and block it? It’s certainly not humour to me

There have been some political posts in the thread, but generally people are very good and leave that alone. In general I ask that politics is avoided.
It isn’t that politics is not important, but there is a time and place to cover that - this thread was started to provide a refuge when the forum had much more negative politics being discussed.
