@Jennifer11 - I agree with you on that point. On looking at images on the internet I was thinking she is more like a Russian blue but then I think back to the feral cats in the farm areas around us. None of them are grey.
There could be more than one dad though, or maybe there’s a recessive gene somewhere.
Lovely piano but what’s the chamber pot for ?
Think it’s for cats not scat…
Thank you! Well spotted. It’s the dogs favourite drinking bowl, containing water from our well.
The lighting under the piano is poor but our dogs are considering suing for defamation by being mistaken for cats!
Well you have done a decent impression of me, those are good photos young @Porridge!
Thank you very much
I leaned against the mesh and steadied the phone against it.
Took hardly any time to get untangled again.
Nice that you provide a chamber pot for them.
Hopefully this will not trigger nonethewiser, but just got the good news about my BRACA breast cancer results
The Government has, belatedly, come to understand the damage that their inheritance tax scheme will decimate family farms and increased the exemption to £2, 500, 000 per person in a farming business.
Now they need to immediately open up the SFI scheme that they suddenly closed leaving farmers in the lurch and unable to plan ahead.
I am not sure if small and medium businesses are included in the new increased limit for exemption from inheritance tax, if not they should be.
Perhaps someone else knows and could let us know.
That’s really good news Jane, a weight off your mind and I’m sure Nonthewiser will just be happy for you. Enjoy your Christmas.
Marie Rose sauce made from scratch came out really nicely.
It’s just gone 2am and we’re off to bed. I looked out of the window and the snow is falling and settling too. So I think it’s officially ‘a White Christmas’.
Keep warm everyone and enjoy the festivities.
Best regards from Rachel and Stuart

Just been to our neighbours and they told us it’s the first time they have ever seen snow here on Christmas Day in 60 years.
No sign of snow in tropical N. Dordogne. ![]()
How have you been today David ?
Improving gradually, thank you, I can carry stuff but can’t lift my arm, apart from with the other arm, and the hand works ok from the wrist.
Weirdly, I slept solidly without interruption for 8 hours the first night, woke up once briefly the 2nd, but last night had many waking hours.
When do you expect Jules home David?
