Last night after finishing the chores around the garden, I went inside to prepare cold drinks and get the TV viewing ready. Stuart came in 30 minutes later saying he had seen a glow worm in the hedge so that prompted him to walk around the property looking for more. He found 6 so that’s really good news because we haven’t seen any for a couple of years.
He’ll be on patrol again tonight !

In very cheerful news, Di (my Cornwall-resident partner) and I got engaged last weekend.
Wedding will be spring next year probably but no date set yet.
In the meantime we have to sort out a care home for my mother. She’s just had a 2 week trial in a local place, but as the temperature has been mid 30s and they don’t seem to be geared for cooling as opposed to heating, it may not get a full vote of confidence from the AP. I will find out tomorrow…

I know you’re joking, but some may not know that we’ve had 40+ years to think about it (albeit separately!) as we first dated in the 1980s, so i think we will be OK!
Actually we have known each other since we were teenagers as Di’s brother Mark was my best mate at school!
