Sheās still a small cat and quite submissive. Her hunting skills donāt go beyond flies and spiders. Sheās happiest on her back in her adopted mother arms.

Of our three rescue cats, (who are currently indoor cats until their catio is finished) Charlee is the spider and fly catcher. I bet thereās not a fly sheās missed on her first attempt to catch it. Bobby and Tabatha are OK but not in the same league as Charlee.
It doesnāt matter how much we get cramp or find ourselves in an awkward position, we mustnāt move because they are in such a comfortable position and want to stay like that for hours. Know the feeling ???

These things used to be called ā flying coffins.ā They had more accidents than any airliner at the time. I notice the tanker has upgraded engines though. Good job!

My surgeon mate in The Alfred hospital in Melbourne calls them donor machines. Bad news for the unfortunate riders. Good news for the people receiving various organs though. Just saying.
Talking about Strats. Years ago when I was a pro musician, playing Strats and Les Pauls, I bought an Ibanez RG550 Japanese ā heavy metalā guitar. It was soon forgotten, as I never got on with it. Over the years, I have collected many guitars, most of them now stashed safely away gathering dust and gaining value. Anyway, two years ago I suffered two Carpal Tunnel operations, which have not gone well. I still have numbness in both hands, and now have developed arthritis in my right wrist. A guitaristās nightmare!I have been searching through my collection trying to find a guitar with a flat fingerboard. Suddenly, there it was! The Ibanez RG, unplayed for many years. It is perfect for both my hands, and is now my main performing guitar. So where it once was unplayable for me, it is now un-put-downable!

Interesting. Presumably thatās because it has a thinner, flatter neck designed for shredding?
I used to have an Ibanez SZ520 like this one, though mine had a blue quilted maple top:
IIRC it had a fairly slim neck, quite nice but in the end I preferred my Mexican Strat.
Looks nice. You should hang on to stuff like this. Quite rare these days. Mine is from the heady days of Vai, Gilbert and Satriani. ( sounds like a solicitorās firm!). When I used to shred for a living. I never get rid of my guitars. They become like children. ( donāt tell my wife and kids!) I have some great stuff lurking in the cupboards and wardrobes in our house. So many that I have lost count. Guitars have been my worktools and my passion in my 82 years rockinā on this Earth! I was born shakinā! ( in an air raid in Liverpool!) Also, those ā toolsā were all tax deductable in their day.

Yes I should have - sadly I sold my guitars when I moved back from Turks & Caicos - American Airlines extra baggage prices being what they were!
I bought a replacement Mexican Strat eventually (and a Squier Cabronita Tele) but i miss my original Strat, which was Agave Blue with a maple fingerboard, an unusual colour, and I had upgraded it with Chris Kinman blues pickups.
This is not mine but the colour is the same:
The Ibanez unfortunately stayed behind!

You click this little button;
And then navigate to where the photo is stored. JPEG or PNG files seem to work best. You may need to downsize a bit (around 2000 pixels longest size is plenty big enough).
The easiest way though is copy and paste from a photo application or a website - the forum software will coonvert the image to a PNG for you.
The Mascot Grand National is back at Aintree.
The race was run in May, to raise funds for Alder Hey childrenās hospital. Itās nice to see this tradition revived, Newton Abbot racecourse had something similar recently.
I will try and upload some photos of some of my collection. A lot more to find yet!
Iāve just spent a wonderful 45 minutes with our next door neighbourās two girls - Inez (11) and Clea9). They often come in to āplayā with the cats. Today they brought us a home grown melon and two friendship bracelets. They speak a little English that they have learnt at school but with the aid of google, we manage to have a good chatting session. Now they are going home to take their goats for a walk. Itās always lovely to see them and see how they are growing up. I remember both of them when they were babies 
- wow - how time flies .

This might be shortlived in this thread, but Hannes the mecano has arrived to start the process of getting me back on the road. First thing is to fit the new cam belt and, holding breath, start the engine and listen.
We have discussed in detail options depending on that, repaired engine, changed engine, changed car. May know more by 5pm when he has to leave for another commitment. Not sure how much the return of over 500ā¬ for the laptop from Amazon is going to help with that.

What on earth is going on with the UK government? First their highly efficient UK passport renewal online service works like a dream. Now their renewal of registration to vote from overseas process was so easy as to be unreal. One code sent by email, entered, check the person details, and all done. Something has gone very wrong - this is not the UK government (I thought) I knew and loved.
I hope this user friendly simplification approach isnāt contagious (France is probably immune!)ā¦
