On my way to the JR hospital to check on the progress in my mouth. Got a park and ride space immediately, bus waiting for me, excellent.

Did a little more work rising the shed later on but the hardest part was re-directing a young but quite high tree before the wall on the nearest side could rise further. After struggling for half an hour with ratchet straps to a mature tree I had to go up step ladders (don’t tell @toryroo ) to get more purchase and tie it off manually with 2 half hitches. I will leave it like that for a while after construction is over to see if it will alter it’s course or if it can safely be left to rub against the finished building, I have sworn an oath that no trees will be harmed in this process. 
Then I stripped off on the way back and did 42 metres in the gloriously cool pond. Not having a towel with me it was heaven to sit there afterwards for a while with my wet body keeping me cool.

I just popped out to look for meteors. Nothing doing, but I’d see a row of 3 (possibly 4 - one was hard t o be sure) satellites making their way between the stars.
I’ve just come in too, only saw 2 meteorites but loads of little satellites. Im guessing Starlink, all on exactly the same track (but not evenly spaced)

JR did wonderful work on my BIL when he had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma some years back. He had pioneering stem cell treatment which worked as 30 years on, he is still healthy apart from the usual age related groans. They organised everything for my sister who had no income coming in at the time and gave her petrol money to get back and forth from near Thame.

Ah…first 1/2 day workout with the big demolition hammer drill this time…
…time for a break I think and so much horrible hard cement to remove but glad this is nearly done now.

Yes indeed it is stone and a very flat flat arch. In fact, the entire place is vaulted and I guess back in the day, timber was expensive but stones and labour ubiquitous.
I’m not going to unpick the cement from the vault though…life is too short.

Well, it would be nice but the cement/sand mix the folks used is so strong it would take a long time and the strength of 100 gold mining dwarfs..
