Thanks Billy, yes its good news thats its only in situ. With all the bone scans etc I was getting concerned but they were just being very cautious which is reassuring. Hopefully surgery in 3-4 weeks as a day patient.
Very best wishes to you both - stressful times.
Thanks Sue, major stress over with todays good news. When the hospital kept moving the appointment closer and closer with a surprised call to come in today my mind was racing. Big sigh of relief this evening.
That is good news, and I really hope treatment goes without a hitch.
Gosh! I only just saw this but wish your wife well.
Thank you both, I just passed on your best wishes
A huge relief.
A big best wish from me too, I know only too well the loss of a life partner.
Sending the finest luxury grade of good vibes to Mrs. @Corona.
Late to this one but Iโm sending very best wishes to Mrs C - keep us informed please. Love from Rachel xx
Will do, if all goes well date wise we will be out in France on the June dates we booked so recuperation in a great relaxing place, surgery obviously is the most important bit so trip date could always be pushed back. So grateful its not spread anywhere else.
Best wishes to your wife and hope all goes well with a speedy recovery.
There is good news and thereโs bloody great news. Your happy news Corona, has made us all more cheerful today
Thank you Chris, Rachel, Shiba and Mik
Real good news on the good news thread. I hope you get to spend some quality time in France before long.
Thank you David and with good friends coming to stay it will make the time extra special.
Heard our first cuckoo of the year today - later than the past couple of years but itโs always a good sign that spring is well and truly here.
And weโre expecting delivery of two more โchocolate vinesโ (akebia quinata) for our new pergolas we put up at the back of the house. The one we have at the front of the house is absolutely full of flowers at the moment. They are so called because they smell of chocolate. I think they smell more like vanilla.
Apparently, if they (the white one in photo 1 and the purple one in photo 2) are grown together they cross polinate and produce sausage shaped fruits shown in photo 3.
If you have an A. quinata, rather than A.pentaphylla the fruit is edible. We havenโt had any fruit here as are growing in a big pot, but we used to get fruit in last house.
The plants are now sited in the ground and I confirm they are A.quinata. They are in superb condition and were bomb-proof packaged. Would certainly buy from these people again (Pepinieres Quissac
Jardin Ecologique SAS).
