Any cheerful news today? (Nothing negative please! 🙂) (Part 2)

Perhaps I am one of the lucky ones

I have watched the process live, from hive to “pot/jar” fascinating.

I keep supermarket branded honey only for cooking purposes and the really good authentic stuff for eating myself and not cooking with.

Please don’t eat yourself, we would miss you.

Yes, in the olden days I used to listen to ‘Clue’ and thought it was really funny. But I don’t listen to British radio any more. And another person I used to really enjoy in a panel/quiz radio programme was Patrick Campbell. Wasn’t he the man who stuttered ? Anyway whatever programme he was in (and I can’t think of the name of it just now) it was one of my favourites. I’m afraid I’m a bit of a moron now - I have the radio on 24/7 in the kitchen. It’s tuned to Allouette and I keep it on as ‘company’ for Ruby when she’s indoors.

Good news from my specialist today.
The new lower dose of my cancer drug is holding the nodules at bay, so I can continue with it and not be so tired.
Also I no longer have to have another horrible test.

Marvellous! :+1:

That’s absolutely brilliant news which I am really glad to hear. Love from Rachel xx

Not sure about the radio, but he was a team captain on Call my Bluff for many years. He was also a Baron. And yes, he did stutter sometimes.

31 posts were split to a new topic: If you have cancer see a vet (or preferably an oncologist)

Thank you hairbear - yes, that was it. ‘Call my bluff’ or as my old mum used to call it ‘not on your puff’. Where she got that from heaven only knows!

Excellent news indeed!

Yes to GREAT news. I finally got Air France to call me back/the right person to confirm where I need to deliver my dogs for my May 28 flight to Paris from Houston. I have been trying for this info for two weeks. Maybe a pre-taste of French bureaucracy?:rofl::rofl:

Ah, but did they require 75 sheets of paperwork? That’s the hallmark of real French bureaucracy

Always keep copies. As you’ll be asked to send again. (And possibly, again.)

Better yet, don’t send original docs unless you really, really have to. Doesn’t matter what they cost in time and money to obtain. See above

Wherever reasonably possible try to show any doc original im person, if you get it back check you do before you leave. Thoigh this means you’re doing things face to face which is often.very positive as people really do try to help and are kind.

Interview at the Mairie for Carte Vitale with very helpful lady who found everything in order and sent off the applications.

Interview? Was this to submit your dossier for the first time? Which office, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’ll need to do this just as soon as I have me carte de sĂ©jour sorted.

Oh, just spotted mairie, what’s their involvement?

How odd. We just took everything straight to local CPAM. The Marie are being superhelpful but have no role in this. France Services on the other hand hsve direct access to CPAM

Good old Loudun!

We had delicious beignets d’acacia the other day to celebrate peace and quiet.
