Can you just imagine sitting in a copper one of those with a fire lit underneath? You wouldn’t have the problem of the bath water going cold then. A problem with modern baths.

We always insulate our baths when we put them in, keeps the water hotter for quite a bit longer.
I suppose the historical alternative was to have a lady’s maid come and top up the hot water, or maybe relight the fire
