Article 50 TUE/Article 18(1) Brexit CdS - 5 Year Renewal

Renewing your Article 50 TUE/Article 18(1) CdS - 5 year cards

A few prefectures are now coming online with the use of Démarches-Simplifiées (DS) which has made the procedure of renewal much simpler. However, the official procedure is 2 months before the expiration of your CdS.

The list of documents is very simple, I have attached a copy of the national document the one issued by the Ministry of the Interior, although it comes from probably a different prefecture to yours, the document is the same all over.

There are other prefectures that are using their own rendez-vous system to make an appointment to submit your dossier but ultimately the procedure is much the same as DS.

You will all have a RDV to take copies and original documents, plus photos. Once that has been processed you will be asked to collect your card. So 2 RDVs in all.

There are a couple of prefectures that are still asking for applications to be posted and a few that have no procedure at all, so we are waiting for their updates.

If anyone is on Facebook, please join us on (1) Article 50 TUE Carte de Séjour (WA-RP) | Facebook for access to our support and instruction guides on the ANEF and Démarches-Simplifiées system to make any changes or make your application.

Alternatively if you have any questions please let me know.

The document suggests you don’t have to wait until 2 months before expiry date on the card if you have a 5 years Art50 TUE card. You just need more documentation that I can easily give. I expect some prefectures may ignore this if I tried to renew shortly, but I may give it a go.

Its here. It suggests I can just do this online but I haven’t gone through the process yet so it may not accept it for my department ?

Yes, but that is only for exceptional circumstances, all the application routes are stating that they are only accepting applications 2 months before the expiry of your CdS. This is 14 Calvados

Yes 14 Calvados are one of the few prefectures fully transitioned to DS.

I thought that would be the case. I’ll wait until next year and do it at the appropriate time.

We’re 3 months away from expiry date on the 5yr CdS, so I intend to email Nora at the Préfécture in Avignon next week and see if we can begin. She may instruct us to wait until November but then again, there may be very few applicants concerned here and they may just want us done and dusted

Just had someone report on this making their application, the email went around in circles as they kept directing them to ANEF which isn’t possible. They eventually managed to secure one.

You need an RDV to submit your application, there’s no application form that I can find, so if you know someone there you might have better luck.

2 months is the official line but you may have more luck this route.

Would you let me know how you get on and if you are given any further info, as Vaucluse prefecture are not that hot when it comes to anything outside of ANEF.

You do realise their last statement at the bottom refers to us so personally I would prefer that this isn’t on my post. Thanks

Will do. And yes, Vaucluse

I didn’t make the link to you. Will remove the reference, but seems a shame not to share everything openly.

Well, there’s nothing on the Aude Prefecture website. Mind you there’s nothing on the section for Étrangers after October 2021 :worried:

I’m sorry Jane but deleting just the last bit won’t make any difference, you have posted separately so people can read either or both as they like.’

I just checked the Aude préfecture earlier and as you say, it’s not helpful.

11 Aude have their own procedure, which is relatively simple.

Thank you, that’s a relief. Would you happen to know where to find the procedure please Kim?

Are you on FB ?

I’m pretty rubbish at FB but I can try. Could you remind me of the name of it please?

Just fill in card and postcode and just add SFN so we know it’s you on the application to join.
