At least I'll get ALD

Please don’t! We had rather too much detail from a friend who went through this and given OH is super squeamish he found it hard, which resulted in several glasses more than normal.

And I’ll thank you for it

Friend of mine in Brazil used to take visiting Americans round their company factories. One evening in a hotel, at dinner, one of the Americans was describing his triple by-pass operation. My friend fainted at the table and had to be helped out of the restaurant by the elderly American and a waiter.

Sweet dreams…

Fingers crossed.

Il finding it quite bizarre that I’m supposed to be having surgery in “the afternoon” and no one has yet been able to tell me what time I need to arrive at the hospital. It’s 2 hours in advance, but in advance of when.
I called admissions and they said “oh, be here by 16h”. WTF?

Anyway, now pleading for help from the surgeon’s secretary. It’s been mostly stress free until now :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Perhaps they’re allowing time for an apéro with the anaesthetist?

Thanks for letting us know. Everyone will have been wondering but no one wanted to ask in case it was (as we know now it is) a sore topic.
