I always feel sorry for Chell, she can never get comfortable :yum::laughing:

Have I ever seen that cat standing up, @Griffin36?

Not a lot, she likes her comfort :yum:

There you go outside with her brother and as a proud surrogate mother.

In October 2023 we posted on the forum about the kittens we ‘adopted’. Well, last week we took them (2 girls and 1 boy) to be sterilized. Bobby is fine - no need to return to the vets but here are a couple of photos of the girls with their collars on. We will keep them on for another day or two and return to the vets on 24th to have the stitches removed. Charlee is the grey and Tabatha the tabby and white. We love them all to bits and can’t imagine what we would do without them now.

Here are our three little darlings.
Bobby loves lying underneath the wood burner.
Tabatha is sitting on top of the settee and Charlee is ‘queen of the castle’ on the top deck of their play station.

We have 3 as well. Lyuba (means Love in Russian), Finn and Vanni (diminuative for Ivan). They are all feral and each of them came looking for us.

Sadly, as I think you know, my wife died 2 weeks ago and my daughter and I and the cats have to go our separate ways, at least for now. I get Lyuba, and the boys are going with my daughter in Paris. We will have to see how that works out. I am looking for a place to live, by myself, or at least with a cat or two, or three…

Finn (with his mouth open, as always) was a redneck cat we dragged over here from Florida. He would not have lived long in the wild there- and now he’s around 8 years old, we think. Lyuba and Vanni came to us for help in Cholet and now they own us. My daughter and late wife were the original cat lovers, now, I guess I am one as well. But it is hard when you have to move or make a big change like we must now do.

I almost think my late wife might inhabit Vanni. She saved this cat’s life a year ago. He was almost dead and had a terrible injury to his tail. It was infected and I think he was near death. She pleaded with me to help save him, and we brought him to the vet and got him fixed up. And she missed taking a trip to Paris to visit our daughter because of him. I didn’t think we were going to keep him, but here he is. And maybe her soul is in there, too.

I sincerely hope you and Lyuba find a new home to share soon. It must be a very sad time for you right now - firstly losing your wife then being separated from Finn and Vanni.

I send you my condolences and lots of good wishes for you, your daughter and the three beautiful cats.

Love from Rachel :pink_heart:

Thanks. I thought I knew what I was going to do, but now I just don’t know. Going to the IDF to survey the area next week while the daughter is still home and can tend the cats. But so far not finding any houses online that I feel too good about. There are many that may have been a good fit as a family, but just as a single old guy, not so much.

I understand that. But, as Rachel says,

(and immediately also know when it’s not the right one, I found). I suppose the big buying season is approaching

I’ve posted this photo of Toerag before, elswhere, but where? Not sure why his tongue is sticking out. Being cheeky wanting attention.

I rather like the feeling too. Problem for me is ‘my’ cat, Lyuba, is kind of an ice queen at times. She is a totally different cat inside and outside the house. Inside she is shy and standoffish. Outside she is playful and affectionate. Weird. The tabby, Finn, is always affectionate and likes to lay on my legs. I will miss him.

And i will even miss him waking me up at 05.00 every morning for HIS breakfast.
