Died after the vaccine, does it say they died because of the vaccine?
Nope. Can’t tell. All were over 75 and with comorbidities. Also points out that the two deaths that happened during phase 3 trials were unrelated, and MI and a stroke, and happened in the 2 months following the injection.
Yep that’s the idea, Alex, that’s undoubtedly going to be the case. Good use of medical science experience.
There’s around 5 million people been vaccinated world wide I think Andrew so there’s bound to be some deaths unfortunately. It happens with most vaccines ( probably all ? ) and statistically if it gets above a certain level then the brakes will be applied.
I could have walked under a bus last Wednesday,I would have died immediately after the vaccine
no, this is the problem, lots died in an old peoples’ home in scandinavia but they were all very fragile and just the mild side effects pushed them over the edge. All relative but it does explain why many are not rushing to be vaccinated wrongly or rightly, in any case, I won’t be able to be vaccinated until summer or so not even worth thinking about at present plus many friends and family have already gone through it, perhaps me too…
yep ,always are, see other reply, but explains why many are causcious when they’re not high risk. for info, wasn’t presenting a viewpoint
Thanks for this info about your personal situation and experience Jane. Very interesting. It’s what has been publicised in various sources. Glad you were able to push on through and get your jab. Being in a similar situation as you I will wait until my rdv and see what happens. ( PS I’ve heard it said its perhaps not a good idea to tell others what they should do on an open forum … people may take you as being bit bossy ?!?
)
Not telling you what to do, telling you what I would do…not quite the same😉. And if in same situation as me don’t believe your GP when they say you don’t need a prescription. I was lucky my GP was accessible.
(But actually I am quite an assertive person…)
Can’t agree that it’s nanny state to be sent a letter/ notification that you are now eligible as that’s what happens at present, we got them for some routine cancer screening, flu jabs, etc, so why not for Covid jab? I can see it becoming a disorganised rush…and many people will not know or be able to make arrangements on their own. Its not nannying to organise,!
105,000 + vacinations in France today so that’s good news, up 50% on a week ago, less good news is that some further clusters of the “British” variant have been found (in Brittany) and it’s reported that there were direct links back to UK.
I respect france’s approach as I believe and have always believed in the individual’s human right to fully informed consent…
It remains a hugely experimental vaccine and despite media hysteria there are problems with it…
I highly value France’s cautionary approach…
This is the latest from Children’s Health Defence…
That is good news. But to get it into context - to get 66 million people vaccinated if you do it at 110,000/day it will take 3 years and 4 months, give or take (and that’s if you vaccinate 7/7 - take weekend breaks and it’s just over 4½ years).
One wonders how, given travel bans in both directions.
I also find myself wondering, certainly in the UK case, if the variant popped up because of inadequate and inadequately followed restrictions.
Like not finishing the antibiotics generates resistant bugs - if you make it a bit harder, but not impossible, for the virus to transmit itself from individual to individual, you will select out the “fitter” strains.
It’s probably a beautiful demonstration of the Darwinian principle - pity it has to be such a lethal one.
It is organised. I certainly feel I have had a lot of info as it is everywhere in French press, radio, tv and people are talking about it.
This is a piece about the letters being sent out
And this is the overall programme
This organisation leads anti-vax lobby in the US and if you look at their web site it rails against big Phama in every way. Be sceptical of B Phama by all means but on balance their work contributes to the wellbeing of mankind rather than detracts. …and China would support this, to deflect criticism from their initial response to Covid.
And of courses there will be deaths of people who have been vaccinated, particularly in cate homes because of the age profile. As yet none have been directly attributed to receiving a dose.
There are still a lot of freight ferries coming into Brittany - from Ireland these have increased this year - the official Irish government advice to its international trading businesses is not to go through the UK, given the paperwork etc holdups, but instead via ferry to Brittany - even if they’re ultimately heading east.
…thats why I’ve been critical of the tardiness of roll out here and complimentary about the UK. To me there is no real road back to normality until a mass vaccination has taken place. As in common with many people I’m fed up with living like a hermit, no real social life, no bars and restaurants and masking up everywhere.
Yes, I wondered how much traffic increase Roscoff would see as it’s actually the closest French port to Ireland.
I actually couldn’t believe the relief I felt when I had mine, but I am still following the guidelines ( my second shot is the end of March and even then I will follow the guidelines in place at that time)
In the first three week the Uk managed to vaccinate around 750,000 people. In the first three weeks France has managed just nearly 600,000 and that period included christmas and the new year - so entirely possible to catch up!
