DMP transforms into Mon Espace Santé

@KarenLot

Actually, it’s “copy and paste” of the reply I received re DMP (and Google Translate) …

Now… 2 years later… and I still don’t know how long the records stay available/visible.

When I’ve had a chance I’ll dig deeper, but for now, it’s all changed and this is the latest…

https://www.ouest-france.fr/sante/mon-espace-sante-le-dossier-medical-numerique-pour-tous-est-lance-voici-comment-ca-va-marcher-562f6b7a-843b-11ec-af89-f91e4c8991b6

Possibly better explained by Sud-Ouest

It’s Automatic… we’re all IN…

“The Ministry of Health specifies that this new space, where it is possible to find all of one’s medical information, will be activated by default for all French people, including for children.”

… “All people who do not want to be integrated into the system have the right to do so. Just make a clear request. The state will provide a temporary code which they will receive by email or post. However, the data of the insured will remain archived for ten years by Medicare.”

I logged in earlier. I already have a DMP account but had to go through another log in procedure as it wants a different username and password. Then the security code they sent to my mobile phone was blocked by my antispam Caller ID blocker software Hiya. I’ve since logged in again and they used a different phone number and that was also blocked as spam! Perhaps getting a code by e-mail is easier?

It is possible to opt out. I was surprised how complicated it all was and many will give up.

They’ve yet to transfer any data from DMP so the only document is the latest vaccination certificate (which is updated daily)

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Remembering the UK didn’t really inform people of the very limited time they had to opt out before all their health data was sold to the Americans ongoing…

If I’ve understood it correctly, for us at least it is absolutely a good thing. OH is allergic to penicillin. He is on blood pressure tablets which he has to take every day. I am taking drugs that other specialists need to know I am taking as there may be conflict. I cannot have an MRI. I have a chronic condition which at the moment is dormant and hopefully always will be but means I have to keep my immune system strong - so no chemo for example.
When my mother was alive she had a heart condition and every time we had to call an ambulance I went with her and sat on her bed while (yet again) I went through my mother’s history and (yet again) the nurse /junior doctor wrote it all down.
If we are in a car crash and unconscious there will be no one to explain to the attending medical staff what is our medical history. We have no one to sit on the bed and explain. So far as I’m concerned this cannot come too soon.

I’ve just clicked into Mon Espace Santé and got the ball rolling… I was pleased to see they’ve already got my up to date vaccine information therein, as well as my Blood Group which I had uploaded to the DMP when that first started…

Re the other docs (reams of stuff) sitting in my DMP… it’ll have to wait and see how things work. Maybe I’ll only have to upload current info rather than historical.

EDIT: you need your Carte Vitale to hand and I found my Attestation useful as well (the numbers were printed large enough for me to read… )

That’s interesting Stella. Something else to play with.

… looks like a very well designed application.

What is interesting is that there doesn’t seem to be any controversy about this. So perhaps there is no question that they will sell on the data?

Make sure critical info is on the lockscreen of your phone. Paramedics don’t have time to find your ID and consult computers. (My mother had her DNR on the hall table, and never went out without it)

Protection of personal data

The Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie (CNAM) and the Ministry responsible for Health undertake, within the framework of the processing called “My health space”, to ensure the protection, confidentiality and security of all your data. personal. “My health space” contains in particular health data, which is subject to special protection by article L. 1110-4 of the public health code. The violation of the secrecy surrounding this data is criminally punishable (article 226-13 of the penal code).

I have just activated Mon Espace Sante and was pleased to see that all the information from my pre-existing DMP migrated over to the new system without any trouble.

Oh that’s good news… perhaps my own scans/tests info is too old for them to bother with. I can upload modern MRI/whatever as and when I get the time this week.

I’ll take a look at OH’s this weekend and see what of his has been moved over. (I know his health situation is much more serious than mine)

When I created my account and logged in a couple of days ago there was nothing but my Covid vaccination certificate.

Now all my DMP data is also there.

Sadly can’t access it. I imagine because I am a beneficiary still as not old enough to have my own account . I have emailed Ameli to ask. But since the only things in my DMP are things I have added I wonder will this be any different?

Has anyone had things added to their DMP?

Prescriptions and jabs were certainly added automatically to both our DMP’s.

You are lucky to be so young… I’m sure I read that the whole family (including children) will have their own new Mon Espace Santé… so your’s will be there somewhere (presumably)

I think the important difference with this NEW dossier… is that one is automatically IN and has to choose the option, physically, to “opt OUT”.

I am drawing up a list of positive things about my fast approaching big birthday

  • I will automatically get the bon for a flu vaccine and not have to jump many hoops to get it
  • My health correspondance will no longer go automatically to my husband, he didn”t quite know what he was supposed to do with an invitation to a mammogram
  • I might even be addressed by my own name rather than Mrs X (never changed my name on marriage, but Ameli doesn’t seem to understand…)

@JaneJones Yes, the Cancerologie center of the CHU at Poitiers have routinely uploaded the Comptes Rendus from the Oncologist to my DMP for some years now. I expect it will take some time for various establishments to upgrade their IT systems, but with luck it should become common place for things like scan and blood test results to be automatically entered onto the new system.

My documents back to the start of my DMP in 2017 have all been moved over to the new system.
